Fun Friday: Give me something to sing about! (12)

(I forgot it was Friday. I'm bad at keeping track of the date.)

Fun Friday: Give me something to sing about! is where you guys get to see a song or two I like each week. Thanks goes to J.J. at Random Musings for help with the title.

Okay... so this week I'd like to comment on how big the difference between a live version of a song and a studio version can be. In particular, this song.

It's called Beautiful Disaster and this version was on the CD Thankful.

This is the live version, from the CD Breakaway.

I absolutely love the live version, but I don't like really like the other one as much. What do you guys think? Thoughts, comments, current song addictions?

Peace and cookies,

  1. The studio version just sounds kind of random. I'm not quite sure how explain it.
I'm currently re-addicted to Green Day's American Idiot CD. <3

  2. No, I totally get what you mean. It lacks the soul of the live version, doesn't it?

    American Idiot rocks ^^

And I really ought to edit the html to make those videos fit...

  3. And one on mine!
