Book Blogger Hop (3)

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer from Crazy-For-Books and is now hosted by Billy of Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer.

This week's question is:

Do you ever feel like you have emerged better for reading a book?

Absolutely.

Which is totally all I need to answer, right?

Okay, okay, I'm not funny. I do think I have, in many ways. Reading books where your identity is reflected in a positive way is really amazing, and something that I'll probably never get used to. And reading (good) books about other identities can really help you discover different history, cultures, and world-views, whether nonfiction or fiction, and that makes you a more empathetic person and all that good stuff.

Plus, writer. I need my creative wells to be filled. Makes me a better writer, I think.

That's all I've got for this week!

Peace and cookies,
Laina

  2. Great answer and I agree! Books have the power to make us better people in a variety of different ways. Some have the power to simply cheer us up, whilst others can alter our entire perspective.

I'm also a writer, so I definitely think reading a lot in beneficial in that regard too! Though, all in all, I think reading anything can help make us into better people to some extent or another.

Feel free to check out my Book Blogger Hop answer if you wish!
